Clean Kitty Wood Litter

Clean Kitty is a natural wood litter for cats and other domestic animals, produced by Strobile Energy at its own facility in Bukovyna, Ukraine. It is made from a single raw material — debarked heartwood shavings of Carpathian European silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) — and nothing else. No binders, dyes, fragrances or chemical treatment are used: the granules are formed by pressure alone, with only water added during pressing.

The raw material comes from the residues of furniture and sawmill workshops in the Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. No trees are felled for Clean Kitty production. We collect the shavings with our own transport and store them in closed bunkers so that sand, dust and foreign particles cannot get in. Before pelletizing, the shavings are taken in by industrial vacuum systems and sieved. The result is pure fir heartwood — an exclusive offer on a market where most wood litters are made from mixed wood waste.

This careful selection gives Clean Kitty its natural light colour. The colour in the sack is the colour on the photo: every 3 kg sack has a transparent window, so the buyer sees the granules before purchase. For retailers this is a clear argument at the shelf; for end users it is proof that there is no bark, dirt or dark recycled material inside.

The granules have a mechanical durability of 98.6% and a fines content of only 0.4%. They stay whole during transport and in the tray, so pouring the litter does not raise dust. When a granule comes into contact with urine, it absorbs the moisture and breaks down into soft sawdust. The used part separates from the dry granules and is easily removed with a scoop, while the rest of the layer keeps working. The wood fibre binds ammonia, and the mild natural scent of fir masks unpleasant odours — without the sharp smell typical of pine-based litters.

Clean Kitty is economical in everyday use. A layer of 4–5 cm is enough for a standard tray, with or without a grid. Because only the used portion is removed, one 3 kg sack typically lasts 1–2 weeks for one cat, depending on the animal and how often the tray is cleaned.

The litter is suitable not only for cats but also for rabbits, guinea pigs and other rodents, and birds. The absence of additives, dyes and fragrances, together with the low dust level, makes it a good choice for indoor use and for animals with sensitive airways.

After use, Clean Kitty is fully biodegradable. Unlike bentonite or silica gel litters, it can be flushed down the toilet in small portions or composted. Production all year round from our own raw-material base ensures stable supply for distributors, pet shops and retail chains — from a single pallet to a full truckload.
